Fullerton and Brea Police Departments worked together to handle an arson late Wednesday night.
Officers were dispatched to 3229 Associated Road regarding trees and bush that had been lit on fire by a male transient that night. Witnesses reported the male had a dark beard and was pushing a shopping cart.
Fullerton and Brea Fire Departments put out the flames before they did any more damage in the dry summer climate.
Brea PD officers later located a male matching the description of the subject at the intersection of Imperial and Randolph in Brea. A witness then positively identified the suspect – Christopher Williams (34) – who was subsequently arrested on felony arson charges.
Officials recognized the great teamwork from everyone involved between the two cities.
